The word “Lambda” carries various definitions across a set of different domains. Personally, I find the term a little hackneyed and somewhat abstract.

I like to associate it with a similarly sounding word: Lambada (pronounced - “laam-baa-duh” - see how nice that it is to say?). The “Lambada” was said to be a forbidden dance. Some people made a movie called “the forbidden dance” back in the 90s about a Brazilian princess who saves the rain forest through dancing the Lambada.

Likewise, I have found that AWS Lambda is considered forbidden in many places, however, it also can be the answer you have been looking for to save your own “rain forest”.
